There’s nowhere better in the world than Kenya to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Explore the iconic Masai Mara and spot a big game up close on this unforgettable five-day small group tour.

Kenya is a region of endless grasslands studded with acacia trees and teeming with animals.

You'll see this delicate ecology in the heart of Africa by visiting Lake Nakuru National Park and staying in the spectacular Masai Mara.

On safari, you can watch lions, cheetahs, and hyenas hunting buffalo, gazelles, giraffes, and other animals.

Thousands of wildebeest and zebra gallop over the savannah, leaping through crocodile-infested rivers and evading predators during the migration season, providing one of the most spectacular natural spectacles.

See this magnificent environment, made famous by the films 'Out of Africa' and 'Born Free,' for yourself.

Itineraries

Day 1

Day 1. Start in Nairobi; to Lake Naivasha; optional afternoon nature walk. (Nairobi)

When we arrive in Nairobi, we meet those who did not fly on the group aircraft at our hotel. We travel north to the escarpment overlooking the Rift Valley before descending into the valley and arriving at Lake Naivasha for a morning boat excursion. We'll drive another 1.5 hours to Lake Elementaita, where we'll check into our resort and eat lunch. There will be an optional (at an extra cost) guided nature walk available in the afternoon.
Meals included - Lunch, Dinner

Day 2

2. Morning and afternoon game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park
Today, get up early for a 30-minute journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Today will be a full day of game drives, with a packed lunch provided by our lodge to maximize game watching time. We expect to see a variety of plains wildlife, including gazelle, impala, and giraffe, as well as predators and unusual bird life.
The (285 km2) national park is famed for its (dwindling) flamingo population, which was made famous by Denys Finch Hatton's flight over it in the film "Out of Africa." Nakuru is also the finest spot in East Africa to witness White rhino, with at least a dozen seen in a single day. In addition, there is a strong buffalo population, a variety of plains wildlife, and frequent leopard sightings.
Meals included - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3

Masai Mara

The travel to the Mara is long (about 5 hours including comfort stops), gorgeous, and rough. We'll arrive at the Mara in the early afternoon, just in time for lunch (not included today, at your own expense), and then check in. This afternoon, at 4 p.m., we will embark on the first of numerous game drives in this magnificent game area. When you return to the lodge for supper, you may unwind in gorgeous surroundings.
During your downtime, you may relax in your individual tents, the lounge tent, or from the deck of your tent. If you want to sleep in one day or go on a nature walk, that is readily handled.
The Masai Mara is one of the world's most famous habitats. This enormous grassland is bursting with life; plains game such as wildebeest, gazelle, topi, zebra, and buffalo flourish on the undulating savannah, while predators like as cheetah, lion, and hyena are never far away. The yearly migration of thousands of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra stomping their way over the tall grass of the Masai Mara takes place between mid-August and late October. Nothing is certain on safari, but with the aid of our fantastic guides, you should be able to see and learn a lot about the Masai Mara's indigenous animals on our game drives.
Finally, there is the option of enjoying a morning balloon trip over the African plains (depending to weather and availability).
Please keep in mind that lunch is not included on Day 3.
